Life Fitness introduces Hammer Strength Olympic Heavy-Duty Rack Systems tough enough to carry the name |
New line provides tremendous value for the feature set
ORLANDO, Fla. – Dec. 4, 2003 - Today at the Athletic Business trade show, Life Fitness, under its Hammer Strength brand, introduced the Olympic Heavy-Duty Rack Systems, a line of equipment ideal for high school, university and professional athletic fitness facilities. The new line will comprise five units - the 8- and 9-foot Olympic Heavy-Duty Power Racks, Multi Rack, Half Rack and Adjustable Bench - each of which carries on the Hammer Strength heritage of simple, durable construction with the highest-quality components.
"Our customers' feedback has shown there is a clear demand in the market for a rack system built to Hammer Strength's exacting standards for toughness and quality. The Olympic Heavy-Duty Rack Systems deliver that," said Greg Highsmith, senior business director, strength, at Life Fitness. "We are confident these units will help athletic facilities build champions."
The Olympic Heavy-Duty Rack Systems allow athletes to perform a variety of strength-training exercises. Their versatility makes athletic training facilities more efficient because trainers and coaches can use multiple Olympic Heavy-Duty Rack Systems to train more athletes in a smaller space and in less time. In addition, because several athletes can perform the same exercises simultaneously, the staff can more easily monitor and track the athletes' exercise regimens.
Olympic Heavy-Duty Power Racks and Adjustable Bench
To stand up to the most rigorous use and to provide maximum safety, the 8- and 9-foot Olympic Heavy-Duty Power Rack Systems are constructed with heavy-duty 9-gauge, 3-inch-by-3-inch steel tubing. The wraparound adjustable Bar Supports have dual 1-inch solid stainless steel adjustment pins for a more secure attachment. The adjustable Bar Catches are made of 2-inch-by-3-inch tubing, with a reinforced 1-inch solid stainless steel rod for durability and safety. The Adjustment Rack, which supports the Bar Supports and Bar Catches, are numbered for quick and easy position identification and have 16 positions to accommodate various exercises and user sizes. In addition, they are equipped with a non-slip spotter stand that places the spotter in the optimal position relative to the user and folds away when not in use.
Multiple grip positions are provided for pull-ups and chin-ups and are ergonomically designed to place the user in the most comfortable position regardless of grip choice. The Dock 'N Lock bench-locking system lets the adjustable bench lock into place quickly and ensures the bench is always aligned properly in relation to the rack. The back pad on the bench has five angles to provide a variety of workout positions and moves along a linear bearing system to make adjustments smoother and quicker.
Olympic Multi Rack and Half Rack
The Multi Rack and Half Rack are modified versions of the Olympic Heavy-Duty Power Rack Systems. The units do not have the top cage portion, which allows athletes more room to perform overhead exercises. The Multi Rack and Half Rack provide athletic facilities with the versatility to outfit centers based on space, training philosophy and aesthetics.
Availability, Price and Warranty
The 8-foot Olympic Heavy-Duty Power Rack has a price of $1,899, the 9-foot Olympic Heavy-Duty Power Rack costs $1,999, the Multi Rack is $1,699, the Half Rack is $1,299 and the adjustable bench is $699; these pieces will be available in the first quarter of 2004.
