Canadian Fitness Professionals Selects Life Fitness as Delegate Choice for Vendor of the Year

SCHILLER PARK, Ill, September 26, 2007 – Life Fitness was recently honored as the Delegate Choice for the Steve Block Vendor of the Year award by Canadian Fitness Professionals (Can-Fit-Pro) at its International Fitness and Club Business Conference and Trade Show.

The Steve Block Vendor of the Year award honors exhibitors or sponsors who have demonstrated long-standing support and service to the fitness industry. Life Fitness was acknowledged as the only organization having proven dedication to fitness for three decades.

“This award recognizes an equipment vendor for its ongoing commitment to the Can-Fit-Pro conference and trade show, as well as education,” said Maureen Hagan, vice president of Can-Fit-Pro. “Life Fitness has provided ongoing support of the Canadian fitness industry and been the title sponsor for Can-Fit-Pro’s international conference in Toronto for the last 14 years.”

Steve Block, who passed away in 2004, was the founder of SPRI, one of the original elastic tubing companies that heavily influenced the evolution of the fitness industry. Named in his honor, the Vendor of the Year award represents an organization’s commitment to inspiring a healthy lifestyle in both active and inactive individuals.

The 14th annual Can-Fit-Pro International Fitness and Club Business Conference and Trade Show was held Aug. 16-19 in Toronto. The show hosted more than 6,000 delegates and visitors.
